5760Mhz activities
In 2023 I built a transverter for this frequency using DU3T preamp and SSPA. The transverter is YO4HFU, which is an excellent design. The beauty of this band is the availability of SSPA’s with some 50Watt RF power. Characteristics of the bounced signals are comparable with those found on 10Ghz. However the spreading of the signals is less, which makes it much more easy to copy CW signals. With a little of 50Watts I can hear my own CW echo’s.

Setup progress
Jan 2024 – Started to collect various items for this band
Feb 2024 – Collected all items for installation
May 2024 – First Sunnoise testing: 11dB, Moonnoise: 0.4dB
Jun 2024 – First QSO with JA6AHB! Added a single stage DU3T preamp. Sunnoise: 13.6dB, Moonnoise 0.68dB
Jul 2024 – Participated in the 7th July event: 21 QSO with 8 in CW! Skip VE6BGT made a nice video of our contact
Jan 2025 – Replaced preamp for DU3T: Nf 0.48dB / Gain 30.1dB Moonnoise: 1.8dB!
